After a long 2 year hiatus due to the Covid outbreak, XO Tours officially reopened on April 1st, 2022! We’re so thankful that the Vietnamese government is finally allowing tourists to travel to Vietnam! And Vietnam has one of the least restrictive rules in Southeast Asia for travelers to enter the country.
Proof of vaccination is not a requirement to come to Vietnam. To enter the country travelers are only required to provide one of the following:
- A RT-PCR/RT-LAMP test (within 72 hours of entry)
- A Rapid antigen test (within 24 hours of entry)
If for some reason a traveler wasn’t able to be tested for Covid using one of the above methods before their flight, they will be required to take a Covid Quick Test at their accommodation once they arrive, and if the result is negative, they will be allowed to move around freely. All travelers are expected to wear face masks while outside their accommodation however.
Our staff are so excited to welcome both new and former guests back to Vietnam after such a long break! We had so much fun running our first tours this week, it felt like old times!
Currently only our Ho Chi Minh City branch is operating, as we are focused on hiring and training many new staff, and retraining former staff. Once we get our HCMC branch running at full speed we will reopen our Hoi An branch later this year.
